Kyrandia

I just downloaded the wonderfull game Kyrandia and it works properly but the problem is that there`s no music and if i save the game and then reboot the savegame is gone.........

i play the game just in Windows XP and i was wondering what to do whit this problem?

any suggestions?

Music should be fixed by DOSbox: download it from the utilities section of DOSgames.com

That save game problem is bizarre though. I have no experience with Kyrandia, but another game had this problem: it was caused by the savegame directory not being included in the installation files.

Try creating directories called 'savegame' 'saved' 'save' etc. perhaps you'll get lucky

Dudes- don't bother using the all crappy Dosbox and try out VDMS instead. Dosbox is hard to use, uncomfortable and runs very slow. Now VDMS is another pair of boots. After like 10 minutes with it you will get the hang of it and it runs perfectly all the Kyrandia games.

Adam,
i have the original CD and try using VDMS on WinXP. I get an error message "unable to load font 8fat.fnt". Any ideas?
