Beginner with Questions

Hi, just remembered the other day playing Commander Keen and decided to search it out for free download. I have come to Dosgames and am having some trouble getting the files to work after download. I unzip them (in Winzip) but they don't want to run.

At the moment I'm downloading DosBox from :

http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1

This Dosbox

/dosbox/DOSBox0.63-win32-installer.exe

Assuming I need it to run the files... anyway, I will return with more questions.

My specs: Win2000, 16bit graphics card

That's no help to me... um, look I got it to work in the end, but do you think this ^ would have been better assistance if it was supplemented by, say, a link?

I can understand you probably get a lot of 'newbs' coming in here with questions which have been asked a zillion times before but I'd been through the FAQ and nothing was apparent to me as specific to my situation.

My post was basically an outline of what I'd done in order to try and get the games working, so I suppose I was after a 'You're on the right track but...' or 'You're off target, try...' or something similar...

Cool well - I appreciate the post anyway, but assume this is a community which doesn't want any 'fresh blood' so to speak, judging by your (what I am interpreting as) unfriendly tone - I'll steer clear in the future. Sorry to waste your time
