I cannot get the damne DOS to work no matter what....

Ok I dl the Commander Keen4 dosgame. And then I tried to get it to work on my command prompt on Windows XP. It wouldn't...So, then I dk what you guys all said to dl for/w the Dos. Got the updated version of Dos 0.63
Got the VDMS soundcard and such..but still it won't work..I mount to the C:\ but it won't mount for where the game is at! All it will mount is C:\ itself. Then I go checking the dir...no game or setup etc to be found at all...just can't get it to work at all even using the intro of the Dos to mount shit.
Someone please help me...you can im me at yahell. My sn is VladrisDracolyas or Aol sn is VladrisDraco.
Its a great game i used to play on my ole comp...i really would like to get it to work and play it on this one.. :Angry:

Ok nvrm ppl I got it to work...although my dos is weird and the steps which you guys posted to mount...well arediffer from what i did to get it to work..as in some commands were done in differ steps then what it posted to do them in..but alas it works-yea!
But here is another problem I have...i cannot seem to dl any other games! nothing. anytyme i try...it says zip file is corrupt or invalid...which it shouldn't. or if it doesn't say that when i try to unzip it it says there is nothing to extract from the file alouth that properties on that file says otherwise...what is happing? can i only play one game on dosbox at a tyme or is it something else? I tried 5 differ games so far from this site..all shareware or freeware.

I think you can only play 1 game at a time in DOSbox, but your problem might be because winzip / internet browser is out of date.

I can't think of any other reason it would say every file is corrupt.

It's at least not a dos-box problem. Try downloading games from another server or site...

If you're using a dwnload accelerator : disable him.
Run a full virus check ( you can get some freecheck's on the web)
Run a full spy / ad / malware check.(see virus check).
Close everything that's running on the background and isn't needed.
Run scandisk.
Run defrag.
Do a drivers upgrade.
Try again to download with IE (i know yes i know , but it's the standard...)

hey everyone thanx for the tips and help. I'm going to try it all out later tomorrow.
Found out you can play as many games you want in dosbox Dosser, but I at first thought the same as you too. But i got now 3dl and they work great.
Anyway, I don't have the dl accelarator on etc....but i do need a good defrag by now probably. Might do that tomorrow hehe.
Again, thanx everyone but I think I need to find those games on another site instead cuz of the server or site probs..
