There are a bunch of games I remember playing years ago, like in the early 90's. one was like number munchers, but it was just teeth and you had to bite down on a picture related to the topic. If you ate the wrong thing, the teeth would break. This game I played in school with an apple 2 computer on a 5.25 inch disk.
The other games were named pc pool and fware. pc pool was a pool table. fware was a bunch of games and some other things. one game from it was a battle ship and you had to sink a submarine that was below you. one of the other things was an ear test. the computer would make a sound, going up in pitch. you were to hit the space bar when you could no longer hear it. this was played not on a computer but more like an electronic typewriter that had a small green screen.
Looking for a bunch of games
Re: Looking for a bunch of games
one game from it was a battle ship and you had to sink a submarine that was below you.You need to improve your description as there are more than 1 game than can fit that vague description. If you are talking about a submarine like battleship that shot forward at other submarines and shoot upwards and sink other ships and every now and then a fish would carry a fuel. Then the game is Seafox. Ahh that game was nice and had a cute fish.
If that is not the game, could you improve on the description to enable us to help you.
I think that I might have played it before but can't remember the name.one of the other things was an ear test. the computer would make a sound, going up in pitch. you were to hit the space bar when you could no longer hear it.
I think it might have been on a disk with many programs. It has been too long ago to recall.
This one might be harder for you to find back because of the avialability of non-game / educational game on the internet.
I used to own an Apple II computer so I know quite a few gamesthough not all. Finding back Apple II games are not easy unless they were the more popular ones. There is still one game that I cannot identify in which a guy collects dollar notes in a 3D pacman style and there was a robber, tax collector and buildings (hospital, bank, stock exchange).
I remember and probably still have both Number Munchers and the collection of games your referring to. The sub game was very basic (like the other games) where you had a "field" of letters that represented locations for your depth charge. You then tried to guess the random location of the sub before his torpedoes did you in. You had to hit the sub across three different locations (the length of the sub) before you'd win, and your hits were represented by flashing red asterisks, LOL.
There was also a football game, a golf game, a memory-type game, and several others. They were great fun back on my old 8086 PCs.![Happy :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
