Dominus CD version - no music

This version of the game is different from the common version found on the-underdogs. it has attional splash screens and animations and such. The weird thing is that I can get the sound of the original version to work through DosBox, but not this particular version. I've tried swapping out Irq numbers as well as different versions of Soundblaster in the config file as well as the installer for Dominus itself.

Is this an issue with DosBox not supporting this game's music or can I do something to get it to work?

Try to locate the sound files on your hotu copy, see if their also present on your 'particular' copy ?Isn't it a rip?

Yeah all of the sound files are there. And It is a rip of the cd. I guess it's weird because the game plays and all -- just no sound.

any options I should set the sound config stuff too?

I'm afraid i can't tell you more.If the sound files are in the x\dominus\music folder,you should have music with the soundblaster setting, not really my kind of music .... .
A probably stupid question, but you never know.....in the opening menu you can access "options" ->"music" is it 'on' ?
Another thing you can try,but it's a very very very long shot, copy your hotu version over it, (backup first your (particular) folder). You never know, if it's nothing (i would be surpised if that works!),nothing lost isn't it?
