batch files in DOSBox

Post by Erkicman »

I'm trying to install Pirates 2 on XP using dosbox, yet when I tried to run the install.bat file in DB, it... couldn't, because the executables had to be run using DosBox syntax. That's my guess.

Can someone tell me how to run batch files in DOSBox?

Like in normal DOS. Except that maybe certain advanced batch commands are unavailable, I'm not sure about that.

If you really need more advanced commands in batch files, i believe there was a program called what.exe (what?) that really worked... Just put it in the same directory as the batch file. No idea where to get it, though.

I actually made a text based game using what! (haha)

is it possible to make a batch file that automates the 'mount' commands or increases the CPU cycles then runs a game?
