Currently I am working on a new download script for DOS Games Archive. The new system is more flexible and supports more functions. The website will provide more information about the games too.
Currently the new script provides the following information for each game:
- Title
- Also known as (if applicable)
- Genre
- Developer
- Publisher
- Year
- Version
- Game site (if available)
- File size (both in kb and mb)
- Multiplayer
- Addition date
- Number of downloads
- Part of total downloads
- Screenshots (up to 4)
- Description
- Instructions (if available)
- System requirements (if available)
- Buy full version (if available)
- Game suggestions ("If you like this game, try...")
It's possible to search for games on:
- Title
- Genre
- Developer
- Publisher
- Year
- Version
- File size
- Multiplayer support
- No violence
- Games for sale
It's also possible to make a combination of the options above: view a list of all freeware games that have multiplayer support for example.
The new script is not finished yet. I have searched this forum for suggestions and the multiplayer and violence option are a result of that. If you have other suggestions or ideas please post them in this topic so I can try to integrate them as well.
It's easier to add new options during the initial development than adding those afterwards. Thanks in advance!
