Looking for Robot Grid game

From the mid 80's iirc. You stood on a grid that went into the screen in perspective. The goal was to make it to the horizon. As you started walking little robots would start converging on your position. I think you had a way to blast holes in the grid so the robots couldn't get you. It was fun & adicting but I don't remember the name or even what category it might fall under.

You are sure about the goal arent you??

I think this game might be daleks revenge or lode runner for Mac

It was on a PC & DOS. Not lode runner - I checked the screen shot. Daleks Revenge doesn't sound right. When you got to the horizon edge of the grid you advanced to the next level - more robots & faster. Any more ideas?

HEY that sounds right..

There however is another game for NES i just remembered, could be robowarrior aswell
