Best places to buy dos games online?
Well since I've had my debit card for a while I was wondering where are the good places to shop online for dos games. Any suggestions?

A popular choice is CD Access although I've never ordered anything from them. Although its already been mentioned, eBay often has lots of old games too ... I bookmarked this seller awhile back, he has tons of cheap PC CDs for sale with low BuyitNow prices ...

Dos games aren't sold in stores anymore, at least not in any of the major ones nor any stores for that matter within my area. Welcome to the 21st century chief.cramhains wrote:None because you could maybe get games at a store. People are lazy.

It depends on which store you go to. For instance, here in Indianapolis, there's a high demand for new games, so typically game stores will only sell games made after 1999 unless they're VERY popular. (Half-Life, for instance, is still sold)
Whereas in small towns in Minnesota, you can still buy games from 1990-97 that have been sitting on the shelf for years and nobody has bothered to remove.

Yes, that's nice to know, cheers to you, but I'm not as fortunate therefore I have to rely on finding games online which has been working out nicely lately.
I must thank dopefish for pointing me to the 3drealms site which I overlooked a while ago.

I guess that's the card I have then if I was able to purchase the download for the full version of hocus pocus among many other purchases that I've done over the net for quite a while. Pardon my lack of lingo then.Kazer0 wrote:It will only work if its a credit/debit card

Actually wait I think you might have me confused with being a canadian resident. I just learned that in canada, making online payments isn't possible with debit, only with a credit card.
However, here in the states, you can use debit online.

Yeah of course it has a credit card symbol on it but that's just how they come along here. A debit card is like an atm card but with a credit card type capability in which you can use it for purchases with money withdrawn directly from your checking account. The symbol is much like how it is with credit cards in which it's like a guideline for where it can work. Like with how a store that only accepts certain cards like visa or mastercard.
I already ran this through with the canadian people and again they tell me that in canada you can't make online purchases with debit cards, only with credit cards. Here in America you can. If you still don't believe me that's fine, speak with a canadian bank near you or ask an american friend if you have any.

Game Trading Zone is a great site, and the owner of it just recently changed it from subscribing only back to a free site.

I'm currently using their site to collect every one of the King's Quest games, only have KQ4 left to go.
