Game with a little Tank.....very cool game

Hello, about 12 years ago i played a game on the pc, i think it was a DOS game but i dont know the name anymore and would like to play it again. I hope someone can help me because its a realli nice game.

Here is the description:

You are a little tank and you have to move on a piece of land, the view is from above. The goal of the game is to move quickly over the land and come back again, then the land is yours but if you move over the land you can be hit my some sort of snake's or other destroyers.

If you conquer all the land then you go to the next level. I cant describe it very well but you can think ass a big square of land and your tank is on the line of the square and then you move quickly in the square and back to the line, if you are not hit my anything, the land is yours. The level proceeds untill you have all the square and defeat the enemy who is moving in the square.....

I hope u guys can help me, im searching for this game quite a long time.

The Game is Tankwars. I had a lot of fun with that game... I have no idea where to find it today though.

mmmm Ive searched the net for Tankwars but thats a different game, in my Tank game you only have the view from above. Its just like if you see a piece of paper (a4) en you take a scissor en you cut a piece of it the the piece is yours, and you can do that till you have all the paper, but then think the scissor is a little tank.

Damn i see its very difficult to explain

Addone: And the old one wasnt 3D,as much as the 2an described is all right (I have screens of that game on my eyes)

Combat Tanks maybe. But its a windows game, not dos. Is the tank you control red?
