If anyone is shaken up by this has anyone helped them?

Im planning to donate some of my A Positive blood to the Red Cross to save some more lives.

I would strongly urge that anyone who can donate blood should do so to prevent the death toll rising to 100,000 which is a rather large amount of people. Even if you dont like needles and you faint still you would save about 3 lives.

There's many ways you can donate money online to help out:

If you already have an Amazon.com account, you can donate easily through them, just visit their site www.amazon.com and you'll see the big image/link on the front page. Alternatively you can donate through the <a href="http://www.careusa.org/">Care USA</a> or the <a href="http://www.redcross.org/">Red Cross</a>.

Canadians can donate through Amazon.com as above, or <a href="http://www.unicef.ca">Unicef Canada</a> or <a href="www.oxfam.ca">Oxfam Canada</a>.

Christian group <a href="http://www.crusade.org/giving/asia/tsunami.html">Campus Crusade for Christ</a> is also in need of funds to help their efforts.

Also, it's worth noting to please be careful who you give money to ... always check places out before you donate, there are unfortunately likely to be many scams popping up ...

Please keep those affected by this tragedy in your prayers ...

I'd donate blood, but last time I tried, I nearly fainted and it took weeks for me to fully recover.

I'll probably donate whatever I can via Amazon.

If I can't, I offer my prayers. They're better than money.

I can't pay because I'm not allowed to have credit card or anything, and I don't think I can donate blood either soo.... And im non-religious.

But I'll think about them...

I donated $100 to the Red Cross on Thursday... they said 100% would be used for aid. Dunno how much that'll help.

if it's anything like the campaign we have in england at the moment, that's enough to feed a family for 3 months, or clothe them for a year. i think. that's what the ads say.

my family donated money today. i wouldgive blood but i'm afraid of needles, heard some nasty stories about the volunteer nurses and i think i'll pass...

How can 100 dollars feed a family for 3 months? Maybe its possible if they ration a whole lot.

Many people live just fine on $1 a day... my friend George was born in Kenya and lived there for years. His dad only made $10 a month, but fed his family just fine... it all depends on the economy system. (If you live in the jungle with lots of animals and plants and plenty of land to cultivate, etc., etc., etc. you could live on even less that $10 a month, really)
