I can't get Heroes of Might anf Magic I to work on my Windows XP. Has anyone gotten it to work? When you install it, it gives to the option to change the video and sound cards, unfortunately you must choose from a list of all outdated sound and video cards. So I can't select mine. The installation runs smoothly... For some reason though when I start the game it works, but the sound seems choppy, then when I pick up a treasure, I can here the sound, and the animation it makes of the treasure dispearing when you pick it up, then everything freezes.
