Yep. That's right. It's MS-DOS 6.22.
The browser's called Arachne and it's free for personal use from here-
http://arachne.browser.org/
Note that although it has a connection wizard to get you online you will need to know your ISP's DNS numbers (phone and ask them if you don't know) as well as the usual stuff (username, password, phone number, blah, blah).
Also note that this program will only work in DOS proper. It will not work in a DOS window. It works "under" Windows 95/98
only if you exit to full DOS mode. It also likes plenty of free conventional memory. Type "mem" at the prompt and look at the value for "Largest Executable Program Size". You need at least 610K (preferably more).
It's not hard, people. But you've got to be prepared to tweak a bit.
I have it set up to run at 1024x768 with an 85Hz refresh rate. I've got the mouse wheel working for scrolling using CuteMouse 2. And Arachne is amazingly fast and stable because I'm running it from a ramdisk. When I first installed it I didn't have disk cacheing or a ramdisk and it was slow as treacle. Now it's
nearly as fast as IE and I've still got some tweaking to do.
It's a dream for old DOS nerds like me...
