Getting sound to work in VGA World Class Leaderboard

Originally I tried running it normally, and it froze at the start; then I tried with VDM Sound, and it still froze at the start. So I tried using DosBox and it worked, but without sound. Note I never had any sound using any method. I'm supposing this is all to do with the fancy Realsound that the game uses to make voices and stuff?

Has anyone been able to get the sound in this game to work on Windows XP?

My goodness, I forgot to turn my speakers on! Forgive my stupidity please! It works great in DosBox.
