I know this is a long shot, but this is what i remember about it ...
It's a typical rpg game, but turn based so you get to move N tiles per turn, then the monsters got to move. Each monster / item is basically an icon that just moves around. You can have rings, amulets, weapons, shields, armor and buy items from the towns. There were spells, teleport scrolls to get you back to town, and the usual stuff. Some spells I remember were clairvoyance, which obviously uncovers dark area (the animation for it was a few expanding circles) and I believe it had the standard fire arrows as all rpgs do. The game had normal monsters like bats and ghosts. The main character was also an 32x32 icon and had long brown hair. Also, the game had weird monsters like gelatinous blobs.
