That's all I read when I skimmed, and noticed you made a common over-word use error. Try synonyms for man, or even give them names even if they aren't main characters.

Psst...if you want to publish this, I'd be hesitant about posting a whole chapter on the internet. Generally, posting on the internet is seen as a form of publishing, and most companies aren't willing to publish a book - in full or in part - that's been published elsewhere. Most sites and publishers stick to a rule of 13 lines posted, and the rest read via email.

But it's your story, so do what you want.
