I'm hoping to find a game that entertained me endlessly back in the day, but the name of which unfortunately eludes me now.
The game I'm thinking of is of the same, or perhaps slightly early, vintage as "Castle Adventure." Come to think of it, the game is a lot like "Castle Adventure" in that it contains an element of exploration, mythical creatures, and so on. I think I played it on a my dad's Texas Instruments computer (a "portable" beast that must have weighed thirty pounds and had a mono-chromatic screen the size of a cocktail napkin)...
Before the game begins, you endow your character with various proportions of intelligence, strength, and dexterity. From there you proceed to explore a castle (though I might be wrong here), using a flashlight to "see" the monsters that might be lurking nearby. Killing them yeilds treasure, which you can use to buy weapons and potions from dwarves or otherworldly merchants...
Does this game ring a bell, or am I dreaming? If anyone knows the name of this classic, or a forum I can check, I'd really appreciate a response.
Cheers!
