I got some really weird error message

I got some really weird error message. it says "The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. How would i go about fixing this. I am running Micrsoft Xp and the game that i am trying to play is Tyrian. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Your problem is that windows XP isn't created on dos. DOS was a base for windows 3.1, 95, 98, and windows 2000 I think. Windows XP doesn't have DOS at all. I suggest a emulator such as dos box. If you still don't understand DOS box with all the messy mounting and such, I suggest a "front end", such as D-fend. To use the front end you have to download dosbox and unzip it using winzip, which you can find at winzip.com. You can download dos box here http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1
