Problems with net games and Carmageddon 95

Hi there, I'm running windows xp with carmageddon (windows 95 version) and I'm having some difficulties with net gaming. I've installed the IPX/SPX protocol over my 10/100 network and I can make the game but the other computer can't see the other game and I was wondering if this is a common problem and if there is a quick way around it. thanks

hi you also need to install Netbeui ( think that is the name) as well its in teh networking control panel and add a protocol

that should be it

Thanks for the tip and although I'm sure it'll work windows xp does not have a signed driver for NetBEUI and I was wondering if you might have an idea on where to find an xp compatible driver.

ok, I installed it and unfortunately neither of our games are showing up, could the reason be because I'm using a switch instead of a normal hub?

if you have just two players plug both computers directly
but more yes a hub..

try refering to your hubs install manual for more details because you never know what you would find in there!

usually after a few days when i fix a problem i look in the manual and find that they know about these problems and think i spent 5 hours working this one out...
