Atari, gone/owned by other company (check out their website... Atari is not Atari... otherwise we would have an Atari 20xx by now

Sega, decides to make system, doesn't make a good system till Dreamcast, then goes 3rd party (and what happened, those Dreamcast systems only lasted a year)
... and a question: I only stumbled across this once in a google search for classic systems gone... however this one's wierd:
- it's a tape drive, type game
- came in between the Atari and Nintendo systems / not mass produced either ---no wonder it's so rare... can you find it?
...and other companies, where did Tradewest (made Double Dragon) go? They made a few million off that game! (company that made the GBASP version assumed that the game was old enough to remake... does this old company exist any more?)
... I know most companies that were good changed their name, when the SNES evolved...
Also, I actually found a website that (developed the Atari 2600's games) encourages the usage of ROMS! I'll post it when I find it
