When I try to play doom on windows XP the sound always skips like its running to slow. Also the music doesnt work at all. What should I do to fix this?

Dooms sound jumps/skips all the time
My friend had the same problem. So I went over to his house and installed dosbox, and it worked.
So all you need is dosbox to run doom on a xp system with music and no stuttery sounds

Being the DOOM fan I am, I have come across the best ports on the net, those being:
Legacy Doom: http://legacy.newdoom.com/
-or-
ZDOOM: http://zdoom.org/
You'll want the ZDOOM Launcher too: http://traumgeber.is-a-geek.net:81/launchers/zdlaunch/
-and-
Doom95 (for the more classic DOS feel): http://compactiongames.about.com/librar ... 5_free.htm
You will still need to have bought the game for the WAD files. Well, the WADS are out there, but in keeping with the site rules, I won't post the link.
