how about uninstalling .net framework ? (better yet, roll back with system restore, if available).

Your problem is kind of abstract, with no error messages or such... What do you expect, magic?

i posted here coz its actually strange... what i get after a dos game run is nothing... the dos window appears for a second then disappear...
if i try to run it from a dos window i just get a prompt back, like nothing has been requested...

It may be a registry problem related to NTVDM. In general, the only way to fix this is to reinstall Windows.

Or, as Wally said, DOSBox is worth a try since it does not depend on Windows registry settings for its ability to run DOS software.

While you're at it, try running a comprehensive virus scan.

Also, you could try running Windows in Safe Mode, see if that helps.

Well go to normal Windows if you want OpenGL functionality. Then when you want to play standard DOS games, go back to Safe Mode.
