Warcraft 2 and Dungeon Keeper IPX network doesn't work on XP

Post by Equimanthorn »

Well, to be all honest, I haven't tried DK, yet, I inculde it at once, so let the matter be obly with WC 2.

So, I can't start a network game getting a message like "No IPX network". I thought the IPX protocol on XP isn't compatible with the old one.

Suggestions?

I heard of a program called KALI, but I couldn't operate it in any way.

Can someone give a good solution, if any?

Thanks.

I have tried Warcraft 2 multiplayer on XP yet, but it does work single player with the right tools such as DosBox. A suggestion could be to make a share with DosBox and share it across the network once everybody has it unshare the folder and or file.

But I do believe you can get patches or upgrades to that game and many other Blizzard games!!

The best solution in this case is to use a null-modem serial cable to make a serial network connection, then use the Serial option to play.
