Arcade Game...Help Name It

Post by PlayBoiIceBerg »

I'm trying to figure out what the name is of this old arcade game from a pizza joint that use to be in my town. I remember it had game play like Contra. The first level started out with you (and an optional second player, it was a two player game) riding in on a Jeep. You can spree your bullets in all directions and along the way you pick up (what look like) "keys". After each mission if you managed to not get hit and loss your "keys" you could select from 4-5 different weapons that each cost a different amount of "keys" to unlock. Such weapons as a Flame Thrower which cost the most, I think, ammo, machine gun, ect.

Also, since we're on the subject of old Acrade games. Does anyone remember the name of the boat game that had a third person view during missions. You would hit jumps and fly into the air where money bags were avaliable to collect and ungrade your engine.

The first one about the jeeps could possibly be "Jackal":

The second one about the boats ... the only game that comes to mind is "Cobra Triangle" for the NES, but I don't think there was ever an arcade version of that game ... its a decent game nonetheless :)
