Dungeon Hack woes

Post by Ben »

I have an old copy of Dungeon Hack, and in trying to ressurect it, have discovered that the install.exe file on disk 1 is corrupt. All the data files on the four disks are intact... but I can't extract them! I also made back-ups of the installed game (just copied the whole HACK directory onto a couple disks) but I've only found two of them so far... and I'm missing a vital file or two! I also need to find my manual, but I want to get the game to work first. ):

If anyone has the game, could you please send me the install.exe, or help me out in some way? I would be so grateful if I could finally play this game again!!! :D

I only have two invites, so I must give them out sparingly. :\
I got my account through Blogger... "You've been a faithful blogger! Wanna try Gmail?" So if you want a blog, Blogger's free... ;D

Ooo... nvm :)

Do you have to do a lot of work at Blogger to get an Gmail account?

Dunno... the exact message is:

"Want Gmail?
As an active Blogger user, we would like to invite you to try out Google's new email service, Gmail.

Would you like to give it a whirl? (link:) Yes, please. "

So I figure you have to actually use the blog a while before they offer it to you. But work? Not really, if you like to blog. :D

Any idea what to do if you cant find the stupid manual?? Guessing the words isn't exactly working for me... the disks are all originals, have been in storage and just found them, but the manual is MIA. Any suggestions??

I also have this problem.. no manual present in the 4-disk floppy box I bought it in, and I doubt they're talking about the AD&D players manual, so I'm FUBAR if I don't get some help.

It seems as though section 7 in this FAQ provides a list of the words you need:

How hard is it to run a simple search on GameFAQs? Anyways I fixed the link above. Go there and then click on "FAQ/Strategy Guide".
