Am trying to run Dynamix "Sid & Al: Incredible Toons" old 1994 DOS game in
Windows XP. I don't want to do duel-boot, or boot disk, etc. as sound won't
be supported by this old game on new system.
I learn that I can modify the Properties of Memory and enable EMS, XMS, etc.
(as the game uses that). I run the program with VDMSound
(http://ntvdm.cjb.net/ - old Sound Blaster card emulation) so that the game
runs.
The game runs however I get this message:
You do not have enough memory to run this program.
You currently have 591856 free bytes of conventional memory,
and 65536 bytes of EMS memory.
You need at least 570000 free bytes of conventional memory,
and 737280 free bytes of EMS memory.

Does anyone know how to get around this memory problem? I thought about the
game's website but it's no where to be found.... Someone please help!
(I've got the game working in DOSBox, but it's terribly slow. DOSBox requires a powerful PC and I don't have a powerful PC (P2). Also, the sound under DOSBox for Sid & Al is buggered). Would love to get this game working with no emulation under XP, like those games on: http://home.earthlink.net/~angeldancer27/XpGameList.htm
(am I allowed to post a URL to the demo of Sid & Al?

Re: Sid & Al: Incredible Toons
Find corresponding .pif file, open "Properties" and set required amount of EMS memory in "memory" panel.
