Black Screen on Monkey Island 2

Hi,

I am triyng to run Monkey Island 2 in a XP machine (AMD processor) and all i get is a black screen - no error message at all.

When running it from my other machine, an intel p3, it runs just ok.

any ideas?

No but i have the same problem, but i have a message bitching about the sound. I think Bill Gates is being evil to us, we like the old games, let them work why don't he.

Besides the ubiquitous <a href="http://dosbox.sourceforge.net">DOSBox</a>, you might want to give <a href="http://www.scummvm.org/">ScummVM</a> a try. It's an emulator type thing made especially for point-and-click adventure games (like all Lucasarts games). Supposedly (according to the compatibility list) Monkey Island 2 is "95%" compatible using ScummVM ...
