Can't remember name of old turn-based strategy game

Post by leprendun »

I used to play this game a while back and can't remember the name of it. It was a board game / turn-based strategy where two (or maybe more) players at the same computer were wizards inside some crystal ball or something and you could summon up monsters to fight for you like eagles, salamanders, beholders, trees, etc. and you would take turns, moving a certain number of squares each turn until one wizard beat the other. It was a good game, I used to get it from the now-dead softwarezone.com. Anyone know the name of it? Thanks.

That's cryptic. I'm also looking for a game with a description like this for quite a while now. Of course it could be wastly different.
Is there a four-armed demon somewhere around in that game? :)

Was it a 4 player game where each player started in a different corner of a small square map?
