Do research before you try and bash it. Windows Longhorn is the next generation browser. It will be as diffrent from XP as Windows 3.11 is from Windows 95. Win FS is a new file system, just as NTFS and FAT32/FAT16/FAT. It stores more info.
The "eye candy" you speak of actually uses less proc and memory than Windows XP currently does. And more can be turned off/on than could be in XP.
Microsoft Longhorn is not apart of Windows, it's actually a new OS altogether. Many people are classifying it as Windows but it isn't, it would be like saying Debian is RedHat...and if you ever said that I would laugh my bloody head off, yeah they are Linux, but they are completely different.
1) They are not copying mac. Mac is starting to copy PC. They are using the same interface as normal with a modification sidebar and such.
2) It will NOT be glitchy as you think. They have no set time limit. Every version of Windows this far has been rushed. They are not rushing with this version.
