Classic EGA Adventure Games

Does anyone know of any games like Sierra's old AGI games? Besides the Dark Convergance, and Maddog Williams. Are there any others like this?

Games created using Adventure Game Studio ...

Often have the feel of old Sierra games. One good one that I added to dosgames.com already is Permanent Daylight:

There's a list of AGS "picks of the month" at:

So some of those are probably good altho I've never personally tried 'em.

I recommend you go with the AGS games. They're free AND hillarious (most of them)

My top pic would have to be ANY of the Larry Vales games (by Pitchfork Productions)

Hmm the thing is, most new graphic adventure games will use AGS, since its the most popular creation system at the moment.

Some people do make games using the original AGI or SCI systems (AGI being the older system Sierra used for making SQ1, KQ1, KQ2, etc) and SCI being the later one used in "newer" games. You can download some fanmade AGI and SCI games from:

AGI: http://www.classicgaming.com/agisci/fangames.shtml
SCI: http://www.classicgaming.com/agisci/scifangm.shtml

Of course, I dunno how good/bad any of those are :shifty: But they all have reviews so probably you should read the reviews before downloading :)

That site has tons of info on old Sierra games btw, for both AGI and SCI:

i am well aware of this stuff. I have made my own AGI games with AGI Studio, but I want to find games LIKE this, Like Hugos house of horrors, Dark convergence, etc. just not with the AGI engine.
