Whenever I try to play Wasteland in Windows XP the game will eventually freeze. Sometimes it freezes up in the first minute; other times it will work for up to five minutes before freezing.

Oh, if it is sound related try
<a href=http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsoun ...
if you are unable to get the sound working properly.

It shouldn't mess up if it's only PC speaker... try checking your PC speaker BIOS settings to see if there's nothing funky there. Alternatively if the sound is really poor quality anyway and doesn't have anything needed like, say, voices, you could just turn it off and play your favorite Rammstien CD in the backround instead.Brent wrote:I think Wasteland only has pc speaker sound capabiltiy but I could be wrong. Yesterday, I did try using DosBox like this site recommends and that may of stopped the freezing problem but the sound is pretty messed up.
Ahahahaha... this sounds a lot like MSN and AOL refusing to be compatible with eachother because of stigma on both sides... does anyone here know how to get VDMSound and Dosbox to work together?I also tried using VDMsound to correct the sound problem but DosBox crashes when I try to use it.
