mario wont start

i cant get mario to play. i downloaded it at school and it worked, but when i dl it at home, i cant start it with the ENTER button, and i cant play.

Exactly WHAT Mario are we talking about? There's a lot of Mario games...

And what does "i cant start it with the ENTER button" mean? Executing a game file (where do you hit enter), or starting the game once its running (are you running this with an emulator such as SNES? have you set up what keys means what?)?
