Rules of the Review. Read before posting.

Reviews should not be something like "Doom is a great game. I love its graphics and sound. I give it a 10/10." They should be lengthy, but not insanely long. My Epic Pinball or Commander Keen 4 reviews are good examples. Also, "reserving" games by giving them a short review, and saying you'll review it later, is not allowed henceforth. Write the review when you have time. Now, a breakdown of how different catagories should be reviewed:
Graphics: Graphics should be judged by their relative era. You can't say Pong's graphics sucked, there was nothing to compare it to. You have to review graphics relative to release date. Also, graphics should not be a MAJOR factor in overall score, unless they are so poor they detract from the game.
Sound: Sound can be broken down into two catagories, but they don't have to be reviewed differently. Like graphics, sound should be compared in relation to similar releases at the same time.
Gameplay: The most important factor. If the gameplay sucks, your rating should be low. This should be compared relativitly, also.
Overall: This should be a nice compiliation of all the above catagories. Your overall rating should not be an average. It should be a generalization of the above. Make a nice ending. Just check all my reviews for good examples.
This will make the reviews better. Please abide by the guidelines.

How could you write a review bad by accident? If I feel that you unfairly reviewed a game (Gave a 10/10 for a mediocre or less than perfect game) then I will alert you and give a chance for fixes. It has to be very good for linking off the games page.

Well, that's not fair.....I mean, it's personal opinion that makes "reviews". But I do agree on the crappy reviews. For example, saying:If I feel that you unfairly reviewed a game (Gave a 10/10 for a mediocre or less than perfect game)
"I like Commander Keen a lot for no reason at all! It's 10/10."
Is not a very good review...

Well, I mean, giving games 10/10 just because I like them, with an unfair review.

If reviewer accidentaly brokes a rule (Doesn't mean to.)
Thou allowed only 1 type o reviews.
If someone've already reviewed alt categories and other wants to write in what (s)he disagrees, (s)he'ld write shorter one, like I to Keen 4. It doesn't need to bee long.

You do know that reviews are put on the site, right? If someone wants to disagree, then they can post a short review. I'm talking about the main review that goes on the site here. Responses can be whatever.

I gave you enough time to re-review it. You never did, so it's locked now. If you want to re-review it, then start a new topic. Case closed.

It doesn't matter how long thy review is, if it's said in it that WHY the game's good..................bad. Even the 1st one! In that case, it'll be only in forum.

Well all my reviews tend to be lengthy, but I will try to adhere to the rules as best as possible. However can we have a rule if some one writes a review, it has to be proof read and well written? I am not trying to be a grammar Nazis here, nor am I an English teacher, but simply making proper names capitalized and putting it through a spell checker, even proof reading once or twice can make a real difference. Even if English is not their first language, a spell checker will solve 90% of the problems at least. Open Office is free if they do not have MS Word.
And if someone already did a review of a game, someone else may not follow up with their own?
