ive read previous topics to no avail. i downloaded the zip and unzipped it. then i ran the install program (had to adjust memory first). but after i install i go to the .exe file and nothing happens. would someone please help me
"(...) i go to the .exe file (...)"
Do you doubleclick your executable, run it from shell of just select it in explorer?
"(...) and nothing happens."
as in absoultely nothing? or do you get an hourglass pointer, or do you see a window flash quickly on your screen?
is program set to close window on exit?
is it set to run in full screen or windowed mode?
do you have mouse set to exclusive mode?
have you checked 256 colors?
have you checked 640 x 480 resolution?
in case you're not running the game from an NTFS partition, have you tried booting with a win98 start disk to run the game?

well good news and bad news. i got it to work (made a batch file after sometutelage on how to do so) but now im stuck at one part of the game. when the necromancer is doing the ritual, it gets to a part where the screen starts to shake then ghouls come out of the ground. then he casts another spell and the screen shakes again....infinately. it just wont stop shaking and the spell doesnt complete. basically it freezes but isnt frozen if you get my meaning. dont know if there is anything i can do about that though
Well, i've tried downloading the file off MANY sites, and it wouldn't work... not even on my win98 machine. However, I obtained a LEGAL version of it on a CD, and installed it. It would most likely run on my 98 machine, but when I try to run it, it tells me that I need a Microsoft™ mouse driver in order for it to run. Note that it will ONLY run in pure dos mode. So, I gotta go find some DOS Microsoft mouse driver...

You should be able to find that at www.microsoft.com I believ. Else, just do a web search for mouse.com and/or mouse.sys. iirc, mouse.sys has to be loaded in a config file, devicehigh=[drive]:\[path]\mouse.sys where [drive] and [path} obviously should correspond to the location you put the file. If you use the mouse.com instead, either in your autoexec file, LH [drive]\[path]\mouse.com, or in command shell just [drive]\[path]\mouse followed by enter.
