You can get away with a month if you have a really good reason... And, we dont lock them because most people have enough sense not to revive them. That needs to be added to the FAQ...
Unknown K: Absolutely nothing, Kazer0 is just a bit confused at the moment..,
K0: For the last time, if the poster has a legitimate reason, than it's perfectly okay to revive the topic. The only reason we lock some revives is to stop people from spamming old topics. Got it?
I would rather here about a classic game still being sold at a popular store then the same old how do I get game xxxxx to run in windows xp thats all over the place.
Thunderdog, when I saw that shrinkwrapped CD with that old SimCity, it crushed all hopes of that game being freeware. This topic was centered around EA refusing to allow SimCity to go freeware on Emmzee's request. If they let Emmzee put SimCity up for download, they wouldn't be able to sell many copies of that CD. Realizing that SimCity was still being sold makes EA's denial a little more understandable and clears up some presuppositions about EA's attitude.
However, if you really really want me to quit reviving old topics, I will.
Don't take anything I say personally. I just sometimes get into these Violent moods right out of the blue. I, Myself, have pulled WFH's, so don't worry about it.
Thunderdog wrote:If you ask me, "I saw Simcity for DOS at walmart" is NOT a good reason to revive a topic. for once, I must side with K0.
Im shocked.... Now what? Whats there left to do here? Ive battled WFH, ZZ8, an TD. What happens when the last person to fight with agrees with me? Ack!
I'm suprised no one has mentioned this before, but, J-Man, someone already said that Simcity was still being sold, so there was no chance that it would be freeware/shareware anyways, thus making your post unnecesary. Correct me if I'm wrong, please . And, Thunderdog, please humor him. We all made needless revives when we were newbies, or, at least I did.
"You believe me," I said gratefully.
"Of course I do," and he held out his hand. "I believe everything out of the common. The only thing to distrust is the normal."
