Looking for game from 1985-ish

Post by Kaz »

Hi, I'm looking for a game I played around 1985 - in Australia. It was called Sneakers (possibly colloquial name) and it was like a star wars. There was a little robot thing at the bottom which was the player, and you shot at things in the sky - different levels - some meteors, triangular shapes etc. Was great fun - want it for my kids so if anyone can help that would be great.

I supposed you played on an Apple II because I've never known it to be other platforms. Sneakers was one of my favourite games, especially have the funny part when replacing a ship.

It can be found at those abandonware sites which offer apple II games. However, not supposed to post a link to abandonware site here. If you're looking for the game on other platform, then I haven't come across.

Thanks so much for your reply. What a shame...it was definitely an Apple computer that we had...in the 'old days' when the floppy disks were exactly that and the disk drives sounded like my computer nowdays if it is broken!
Will keep the abandonware thought in mind...hope to be able to play it again one day as I had so much fun.
Thanks again! Happy playing. :)

Dear Kaz,

I'm 18, and I still remember being 6 or 7 and playing sneakers on our apple 2 e.

That game was phenomonal, I remember a level that was like snow falling and you had to shoot them all.

I also remember for some reason a big ship would come down and make the COOLEST sound that me and my brothers and sisters joke about to this day, it was like "BAAAAAD BoneAAA" lol..so funny
