X-com?

An old game by Microprose. Top-down strategy, various weapons and equipment, "defend the Earth from incading aliens" generc plotline, you get the idea. Came out somewhere around 1995 or so, and there were two others like it that came out: X-com: terror from the deep (or something like that), and X-com: apocolypse (I don't consider X-com: enforrcer to be a part of the series

Anyone know if there's a place it can be downloaded (asuming that's legal)?

The game you're looking for is called X-Com: UFO Defense. It's part of the Ultimate Strategy Archives pack, which you can get for about 8 dollars, I think.
