Games for 386 monochrome laptop?
I've got an intel 386 laptop with an VGA video card, but with a monochrome screen. I have 2048KB RAM, which of the games can i play on my computer?
There was an old strategy game I used to play years ago on my 286/16...
It was called "The Ancient Art of War". I will run in CGA or Monochrome mode (with a Hercules MCGA emulator). I have no clue where the game might be acquired, but this is what it looks like:

Also, if you're into RPG, look for The Ultimate Wizardry Archives. The first 4 Wizardry games should play on your system. The Wizardry Series (by SirTech Software) was the inspiration for every modern D&D type RPG there is. Here's a fanpage for the original Wizardry:

I did not post a direct download link. The legal questions regarding the content of the Home of the Underdogs website is thier problem, not mine.frogboy_90 wrote:The Ancient Art of War link is abandonware, with a direct download link.
At any rate, I will not make the mistake of posting a link to any part of the Home of the Underdogs website on this board again, so you need not be concerned about that anymore.

Haha, no, I once met a person with a laptop like that. (Well, slightly slower) Needless to say, even some of the higher-end, engine-loaded zzt games (Chrono Wars X, Mercenary, Rhygar 3, etc.) ran slowly on it.
Actually, I'd like to try and run Doom 3 or Half-Life 2 (not to be released until this November) on that computer for 3 reasons: A. the challenge of even getting it installed, B. to redefine "lag", C. to watch what happens when one of those old laptops explodes.
