In order to help you, the following information is needed:

1. Name of game you are trying to run, and version (if applicable).

2. A breakdown of your hardware (see signature below for an example).

3. What Operating System are you trying to run the game under.

Check out this site:

Commander Keen Newsletter

Click on the "Game Devices" link, and look for a utility called "DosBox v0.58".

See if that doesn't solve your problem...

newbie since you have win98 shut down to dos and try running it from dos. it's made for dos running it in windows just causes problems. not yelling at you don't take it the wrong way. i've got keen 1-6 except for one i think it's aliens at my babysitter or something. they work in dos because i ran it on my system when i was running 98se. it should work.

Not to imply that your suggestion won't work, Jshivak... But don't confuse the poor guy into the mistaken belief that "re-booting into DOS mode from Win95/98" is even remotely the same thing as running the actual MS-DOS the game was designed to run under...

You can run most games from inside Windows, like you'd open normal files from Explorer. Its built that way. It seems you have no errors (except that 404).

Guys you realise that this thread has been dead for over 3 years, that nesgamer did not post here since
"Thu Jul 17, 2003 5:36 am"
If that dumb moron dssd hadn't post that dumb sdsd post we'd all be just fine now not bothering with old already-past-over thread
