Here is my review for QUAKE
Visuals 10/10:This game could scare you! look at the monsters' faces, aren't they ugly? Yes! There is a slight drawback:You may have to adjust the brightness because the default is too dark! Otherwise, the most detailed 3D dos game ever!
Sounds 10/10:This game has real life-like sounds and there is no dissappointment what so ever, the sounds can be scary too!
Handling 10/10:Yes,really! The controls are virtually easy to remember! The controls is what a 3D shooter should really have. Can take some time to master the swimming controls... In other words:Excellent!
Replay Value 10/10:Hands down! Quake is the best dos game ever! I'd say every 3D First-Person Shooter fan should give Quake a play.

Another thing for controls: You can customise the controls to, for example, press 'g' to get God Mode. The looking controls can also be adjusted, through config.cfg.
And Compatibility: 7/10- You need to download the additional WinQuake application for this to run on NT/2K/XP (It also runs on 9x, however it is not needed). It does, however, make the game better, with the possibility for up to 1024x768 resolution and Windowed Screen.

In the ID1 directory of Quake in config.cfg there is a list of commands- open it in Notepad. It has nothing to do with system files.
They all use console commands, so for God Mode, add
to the config.CFG file
