Red/blue 2 player flying/shooting game.

There's this game my cousin I haven't played in such a long time. A game so old, it feels like a dream. A red character for player 1 and a blue character for player 2. They constantly fly on these horse-like figures that are also red/blue.

They shoot red/blue projectiles. There are multiple levels but the game is very difficult. The players have multiple lives. We played it on the Wii but it looked like something you would find in an arcade. That's the best i could describe it.

Something like Dragon Saber, or possibly Dragon Spirit?

Both were available on Wii, and the first game has a two-player mode; not sure about the second game but at least the arcade version had a 2 player mode.

Unfortunately, it doesn't ring a bell. Sorry, I forgot tp mention it was a side scroller camera angle.
