90s early 00s pc game about creating a band

Hello all

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I remember playing a game as a teen in music class where you had to audition musicians / singers write a song record it then it would tell you how far up the charts you were.

The style was almost cartoon like and I'm from the UK so it may be a UK only game.

I also remember that you start in a garage then play a gig record the song in a studio

Thanks for the update; it wasn't in the musical games list I suggested, rather the Mobygames 'gameplay' was managerial, but maybe there is a mix of gameplay styles in the game?
