90s MS-DOS Game Maze/Arcade

My memory is very vague.. Released around 1992-96, bomberman-like side view. Main character is some kind of miner/digger with an axe.
There are some enemies (monkeys?), I think there are bombs that you can use too.
Looks similar to Digger or boulder dash.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The first step would be to look in the lists of Boulder Dash variants I guess:

Thanks for your help! Went through the list.. it's none of those. The closest one would be Dot Valley.
What I remember for sure that the main character had an axe.
