In the game you played as a police officer or FBI agent or something (I don't remember) and your BF died in front of you so you have to take meds so you don't lose it. You try and figure out about a cult who's also led by I think an idol maybe. (could be wrong) It was either 8bit or 16bit. Also I think there was this mask that makes you go insane.
I can't remember anything else about this game because it was a long time ago. These are the only things I can remember. Sorry it's not much. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Well...what do you meant by 8/16 bit? Was it on an early console? Or are you talking about graphics color bits?
Also 'long time ago' is not helpful, take a guess at a year you played it please.
