So for the longest time, I have been trying to figure out what game I used to play as a kid. I only remember a few details about it that I remember, and they usually aren't helpful. But, I was looking around online at some games I used to play and came across a game called Ultima Underworld 2. I don't know if this is the game, but it was a kind of maze game. The walls and shadowing in the game I found looked exactly like I remembered them. But in the game I am trying to find, was a maze game, and it played eerie music, possibly when you got close to scary creatures. And I think you had to collect coins or something to be able to leave. But if you ran into the creatures, you lost. I know my details are pretty vague and not helpful but literally anything will help to try and figure this out. It has been bugging me for years.
Also adding, if I'm remembering correctly, the creatures were like blobs. Like nothing human like. That's why I don't believe Ultima Underworld 2 is the game, plus I don't remember having the person and buttons around the outside of the screen like that when I used to play it.

Something more basic then, perhaps a Pac-Man in a 3D version, like: 3-Demon?

I also thought about 3-Demon while reading the description, except that game's graphics are nothing like Ultima Underworld at all.
There's a first-person Bomberman game which is somewhat closer in terms of graphics though: 3D Bomber.

Ken's Labyrinth?

I found another possible candidate: Dungeon Master II: Skullkeep, one in a series of Dungeon Master games.
At least it has a more Underworld-dungeon-like appearance, and some slime monsters in the starting area, about 14-15 minutes into this playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D34zZtdO9g8
