Educational space alien game

I used to play a game on a windows 2000 computer when i was younger, i cannot remember much to it other than there were aliens, it came in a clear case, i THINK it came with an educational book of sorts, i think there's an astronaut mascot and i vividly remember this minigame that has like neon green and purple planets, i'm 90% sure its a scholastic phonics reading program game and i think there was some 3d sprinkled in there as well.
