Futuristic Platform Dos Game fighting big spiders year 1998

There was this dos platformer where giant spiders fell from the sky or roamed around. The main character would shoot them with a futuristic gun and as stages progressed character got got better guns and health. There was no character selection or menu (as far as I can remember). Back in the day I didn't know English well so I was surprised that I could find the folder without fail. The name should be one word something like beast, spider or arachnoid.
The game definitely gave a post apocalyptic alternate universe sense.

Note: I played the game at my father's office and it was installed on his assistants computer so I didn't even play that much so the details are fuzzy at best so I apologize.

One of the screenshots is from the intro movie and seems to show a large crab, not a spider, but these may have been in other parts of the game.
