Red(?) Fox(?) Pirate, 2D/Side Scrolling Played in 99/2000ish

Old game from 1999 - 2000 ish? There's something about a red fox pirate and is 2D/side scroller. Captain Claw seems similar but doesn't jog the memory. Played it on PC but I'm not sure if there are other platforms you could have played it on. It may or may not have been a kids game, but definitely played it then. Thanks in advance + sorry for vague description!

Hmm... Red Jack is a 3D game, so that is probably not it.

So was the character an actual fox, and not a human with the name of 'fox' only?
(In the 'Captain Claw' game you play as a cat)

I'm actually not too sure if it was a fox. It's not a human either (although at this point you could just give it to me and I'll look at it too). It was an animal of some sort. It was definitely closer to Captain Claw than Jazz Jackrabbits 2.

Bump, haven't found it yet. I remembered that it is also a platform game, and something with a sword. Definitely still an animal with a sword though.

I have a very vague memory of a mid-90s (possibly console) game featuring a fox in a medieval knight's armour and with a sword. I never played it, what I remember is an ad (or a concept art image from an article) from a gaming magazine. I'm not even sure it was the protagonist.

This is sounding a lot like Kingsley's Adventure, except that Kingsley's Adventure is 3D, and on playstation. It's on the list Quadko linked too.
