I very warmthly recall a game I used to play with a friend in the 90's (second half).
I tried to look for it in a number of ways, but to no avail. I would appreciate if you could help me find this game.
I have tried practically any game with the word “bomb in it, and none of those was it.
What I remember about the game:
we played it on PC, either DOS or Win95/98
it was a platform game
it offered single and multiplayer – split screen coop
it only used keyboard
I think it had over 256 colors
it was about planting bombs on several levels to destroy buildings
the buildings were made of simple shapes that converted into circular rubble
the game offered a rather simple but system of physics (how the stuff fell down)
you could use several types of bombs: they varied in size and color
there was a limited number of bombs
not sure about that, but I think it didn't have an English version (probably Italian/Spanish/German, but as I was young, I don't recall that very well)
It's neither of those – it was a purely platform game, didn't look like an arcade point. Had simplistic graphics, but definitely superior to this Pyro 2.
Nevertheless, thanks for the suggestions, I will try them if this doesn't work out. So far I the biggest game lists I could find.
Does it play at all like Rampage? Outsides of buildings? Or more like, maybe, Impossible Mission, planting bombs on different floors inside the buildings?
Hm, or was it like Scorched Earth, Chopper Commando, or Tank Wars... you could blow up terrain and maybe buildings and have ground & stuff "fall" to gravity in those games. But you were shooting tanks or flying helicopters... still if it's closer to the right "type", let us know.
Found it by searching this: dos bomb structure split screen
I tried dos building demolition, etc, then got the idea to try structure and adding split screen, and that seemed to do it
I even found old threads here and in other places asking about it but no answers, which made me think to try structure, and the emphasis on split screen.
