Another spammer, registered as ElGeyem (I think I saw that one before)
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/profile.p ... le&u=13180

Selling stuff so horrible, all the treehuggers cried out in rage...or something.
(I guess it was just a generic exasperation with spammers.)

I'm like "Dirty" Harry Callahan, and spam posts are punks.
And I dealt with them.

I thought that was implied....

Another copy-paste bot, calling itself 'Draco02'.
It's signature has been used before: 'DaRe DaViL', not sure if the name was the same.

BTW Rwolf, you can link to individual posts in threads. There's a small icon in the header that looks like a white page (orange if the message is tagged as unread), and the text "Posted: <date>" is right next to it. This icon is actually the link to the post. You can right-click it and copy the link, then paste it here.

This guy is advertising some MMORPG (I think). The admins should decide if this should be removed or not (game-related links are tolerated to an extent).

Two similarly named spam-bots registered to post the same spam message in two threads.

'pasban66'
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/profile.p ... le&u=13212
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic ... 865#124865

'pasban729'
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/profile.p ... le&u=13213
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic ... 866#124866

Status: Spam posts deleted.

Both are using a string 'FARASAT' as a sig.
I wonder if those signatures are something relevant to tracking them?
Both Pasban & Farasat seems to be names/words common on Pakistani websites.

I think that whatever bots leave in as their signature are just placeholders.

Their strategy (judging by the few ones which got under the radar before) is to post some random stuff, and after a while edit their profile and posts, adding links to their profile page and signature.

The trick is that at least some forum engines do not retroactively add a signature to old posts if a user started without anything in their signature. Signature content only gets updated in those posts which already have it. So it makes sense to put something into the signature and then replace it with links after a while.
